Job Description Summary

The Sales Analytics Manager role is an innovative business partner supporting the McKesson Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services business (McKesson Community Pharmacy & Health segment) focused on connecting data to sales team actionable insights. The entrepreneurial focused manager collaborates with business partners to identify, scope, analyze, develop and launch actionable insight analytic solutions to the sales organization. These collaborative analytic responsibilities include decision support model building, data mining, sales team awards analytics, month end reporting and strategic insight reporting.

This role will initiate innovative solutions supporting sales leaders and respective sales teams utilizing compensation tools (Varicent/Anaplan), Salesforce.com, SAP, Snowflake, and visualization (Tableau) tools. Overall, the innovative manager will lead cross functional (Sales, Sales Effectiveness, Data warehouse & Tableau Developers, Finance, Marketing, Strategy, IT, etc) analytic projects focused on aligning analytics to the business strategy.

Job Description - Individual Contributor Role

The Analytics Manager reports to the Director, Sales Performance & Analytics and is responsible for the following :

  • Innovative Analytic Insights & Solutions
    • Lead projects focused on designing and delivering self-service analytics solutions by collaborating with Sales leaders and cross functional teams.
    • Collaborate with internal Data Warehouse and Data Visualization Developers to assess process, technology, cost, & prioritization needs related to solution development.
    • Develop actionable analytics to solve complex business problems and improve sales team opportunities, including segmentation, targeting, etc.
    • Effectively communicate clear and concise recommendations regarding analytic solutions to leadership and sales team end users.
  • Month End & Sales Award Analytics Processes
    • Develop annual Sales Award analytics by learning and utilizing Salesforce.com and Sales Compensation systems (Varicent).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales leadership, and Incentive Compensation teams) to develop automated key metric reporting and analysis.
    • Partner with Finance, Incentive Compensation, and Sales teams regarding month end results communication and analysis. Perform “deep dives” as needed related to individual attainment versus quota.
  • Respond to specific requests and proactively make recommendations for other data sets/tools that may assist with decision making or strategy execution.
  • Responsible for account/territory assignment process and integration to analytics solutions.

Minimum Requirements

8+ experience in analytical roles within Sales Operations, Finance Operations or similar business support team roles.

Critical Skills

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales processes
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to pick up new skill sets quickly.
  • Highly organized, and adept at problem solving with a proactive sense of urgency
  • Self-starter who is creative, curious, and can apply critical thinking approach to complex problems

Additional Skills

  • Strong experience w/ SQL, Tableau and/or other visualization tools
  • Salesforce.com or relevant CRM experience
  • Experience working with compensation tools & data (Anaplan/Varicent)
  • Familiar with project management methodology (agile experience preferred)
  • Strong influential and collaboration skills
  • Experience with marketing/segmentation analytics
  • General knowledge of database management concepts
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Experienced at building cross-functional working relationships.

Education

  • BA or BS degree (Analytics related field preferred- Business Administration, Statistics, Finance)
