In addition to managing the relationship with Post's largest customer, the small, dedicated team also participates in several charitable and volunteer events throughout the year. The team prides itself on winning together and working hard to meet goals, while celebrating wins.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Analyst supporting the Walmart business, you will turn sales, category, e-commerce and promotion data into clear insights that help teams make faster, better decisions. You will support the Walmart Pet Food business across channels, with added focus on a digital-first, omnichannel approach.

This is a growth-focused opportunity for an analyst with initial CPG experience who is ready to broaden their impact. You will partner across Sales, Category Management, Supply Chain, E-commerce, Sales Planning and Brand Marketing while building deep knowledge of Walmart reporting, trade promotion and financial planning. Your work will strengthen scorecards, event tracking and business reviews, and help create repeatable processes that support the full business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze Walmart sales, category, e-commerce, forecast and financial performance to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities across channels.

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly reports and omnichannel scorecards that clearly communicate the health of the business.

  • Build and improve event-tracking processes for price changes, volume impacts, new items, promotional displays and temporary price reductions.

  • Track category, brand, new-item and promotional performance, then translate findings into concise recommendations for the Sales team and PCB leadership.

  • Partner with Sales and Category Management to develop category and consumer insights for internal planning, business reviews and customer discussions.

  • Facilitate forecast trend reviews, align PCB and Walmart forecasts and improve forecast accuracy.

  • Support base and incremental sales reviews and help maintain assumptions and inputs in trade planning and forecast systems.

  • Use Scintilla, Numerator and other available data sources to create actionable category and e-commerce analytics.

  • Lead internal scorecard reviews and support external business reviews as assigned, including communication related to Walmart new-item and promotion processes.

  • Build productive relationships with cross-functional partners and contribute to ad hoc analyses that increase sales productivity and business visibility.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Build expertise at the intersection of sales analytics, category analytics and emerging e-commerce analytics.

  • Make a visible impact by helping shape new omnichannel scorecards and event-tracking processes.

  • Gain broad exposure across the Walmart business and collaborate with teams throughout PCB.

  • Develop toward future opportunities such as Senior Sales Analyst, e-commerce account management or other customer-facing commercial roles.

  • Join a team that offers big company opportunity with a small company attitude, where your analysis can leave a clear handprint on the business.

Location & Travel Requirements

  • This hybrid role is based in the PCB Walmart Sales Team office in Bentonville, Arkansas, with an in-office expectation of three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

  • Up to 10% travel is required.

  • Strong technical and analytical capabilities, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience collecting and analyzing sales information and converting findings into actionable business recommendations.

  • Ability to create clear reports, trend analyses and presentations from complex or raw data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sales event tracking, promotion tracking, new-item performance or trade planning within a CPG company.

  • Experience with Market6 and IRI or Nielsen data.

  • Experience with Scintilla, Numerator, Walmart reporting systems or e-commerce analytics.

Success in This Role

  • Communicates insights clearly and with impact in written, verbal and presentation formats.

  • Builds strong working relationships across Sales and cross-functional teams.
