Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Sales Ambassador to engage customers, sample products, and drive sales at our Fountain Valley, CA location. You will handle food prep at the tasting station, assist with events, and maintain equipment while following safety guidelines.

The role requires 18+, HS diploma, strong communication, and ability to stand for long periods. You’ll gain experience in sales, customer service, and event planning in a fast-paced, friendly market setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• High energy with a passion for Sprouts products.
• Thrives on customer engagement and can suggestively sell.
• Willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced setting.
• Able to follow cooking directions and stand for up to 8 hours.
• Experience in customer service, sales, marketing or event planning.
• Strong communication to build rapport with store team and support office.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with computers at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engaging customers while sampling products.

• Coordinating event activities, setup, takedown, and communications in meetings.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Proactively engaging customers while sampling products
• Preparing and serving food using an induction cooktop, toaster oven, blender, etc. with specific cooking directions provided
• Cutting and sampling produce and grocery product
• Achieving sales goals by sharing product with customers and encouraging them to try new products
• Coordinating all event activities, including:
  • Event setup and takedown
  • Communicating upcoming events in department manager meetings
  • Managing sample supply and sample product inventory
  • Preparing event recaps via SharePoint
• Maintaining program specific equipment
• Adhering to strict food safety guidelines
• Completing assigned online trainings to build your knowledge base

Pay range

The pay range for this position is $17.30 - $24.20 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
