Dakota Mill and Grain, Inc. in Wall, SD is seeking a Sales Agronomist to provide expert agronomy guidance to farmers and promote a full range of agronomy products and services.

You will develop and explain programs for weed control, soil testing, and fertility, while staying current with industry trends to offer innovative solutions. Role requires field participation, record-keeping, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Farming and agronomy background preferred.
• Agronomy degree or enrollment in an agronomy program.
• Valid Class A driver’s license in good standing, or ability to obtain one after hire.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally.
• Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert agronomy advice to farmers to maximize crop yields.
• Promote and sell agronomy-related products and services offered by Dakota Mill & Grain (chemicals, fertilizer, seed).
• Formulate and explain agronomy programs for weed and insect control, soil testing, soil fertility recommendations and applications.
• Stay current on industry trends and new agronomy technologies to provide innovative solutions.
• Participate in field examinations including soil testing, product delivery, and crop scouting.
