Job summary

gpac in Colorado Springs is seeking a Sales Agronomist to join our team. The role involves making seed, fertilizer and chemical recommendations to growers and working with fellow agronomists on daily duties.

You will foster long-term customer relationships and prepare contracts and proposals to close transactions, while forecasting supply needs monthly and annually and staying current on agronomy services and technology.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work independently and with a team.
• 1+ years of agronomy related experience preferred.
• A degree in Agronomy/Agriculture preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Make seed, fertilizer and chemical recommendations to growers.
• Work alongside other agronomists to carry out daily responsibilities.
• Facilitate positive long-term relationships with customers to create and promote long term repeat business.
• Prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals to ensure successful transactions.
• Forecast supply requirements by month and annual basis.
• Perform a variety of agronomic duties independently.
• Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology, including seed, Precision Farming technology, finance and marketing tools.
