Job summary

AAA Hawaii LLC seeks a results-driven Sales Agent in Honolulu to drive memberships and personal lines insurance sales. You will qualify prospects, quote rates, and bind coverage, while entering data into our insurance systems and handling underwriting inquiries.

Expect comprehensive training to obtain P&C and Life licenses, plus a strong focus on member service, cross-selling, and meeting monthly goals. Health coverage, 401(k), and paid time off are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years sales experience preferred.
• Advanced written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to qualify for Personal Lines and Life licenses.
• Background, credit check and drug screen required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Qualify and quote prospects, sell memberships and personal lines insurance products.
• Collect premiums, bind coverage, enter policy data in systems, respond to underwriting inquiries.
• Develop knowledge of insurance policy provisions and rating factors.
• Follow up with members and insureds; prospect new business.
• Inspect documentation; resolve membership and insurance problems with discretion.

• Work occasional Saturdays.

• Qualifying and quoting prospects, selling memberships and personal lines insurance products.

• Developing a complete and thorough working knowledge of all insurance policy provisions, rating factors, rules, and insurance systems.
• Following up with members and insureds and prospecting for new business.
• Inspecting related documentation and resolving membership and insurance problems using discretion and independent judgment.
• Multi-tasking and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Working occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required, college degree preferred
• 1-3 years sales experience preferred
• Must have moderate proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Advanced communication skills required, both written and oral.
• Ability to qualify for a Personal Lines License and a Life Insurance License
• Possess a competitive sales drive to meet and exceed monthly goals
• Successful completion of a background, credit check and drug screen
