Position Summary:
The function of the Sales Account Manager is to own, develop and grow existing and new Plant Based Protein customers in North America ( US and Canada)

Job Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets according to the strategic roadmap
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing and trade show plans relative to their assigned market segment
  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, activity reports and contract balances
  • Ability to call on R&D/technical groups to sell value-added ingredients with ability to sell solutions based on stated needs of a technical audience
  • Calculates and assembles quotes to customers and negotiate as necessary to secure contracts.
  • Provide detailed reporting to the Vice-President of Sales through the use of Sales Force and other communication tools
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Job Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in aTechnical discipline, MBA or related advanced degree desirable
  • Four(4) or more years of successful sales history with proteins in the food& beverage industry, knowledge of ingredient and/or flavor sales is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success building new and existing relationships with key customers for Plant Proteins, including those in key strategic decision-making positions at headquarter level.
  • Superior strategic and tactical business planning skills
  • Strong problem recognition and resolution skills.
  • Motivated and self-directed sales professional that can operate within proper guidelines
  • Exceptional communication skills, presentation, negotiation and management skills, strong work ethic, positive attitude and professional demeanor required
  • Aptitude for working both as, team member, a team leader, and autonomously
  • Advanced MS Office skills and advanced networking and relationships in the industry

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$92,800.00 - $172,800.00

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and commissions
