Summary
The Account Executive will be remote, spending nearly all their time on client sites. Working within an assigned geographical territory, Account Managers identify potential customers and maintain existing relationships. Overall, they facilitate the sales solution lifecycle, serving as a liaison between their territory and A Tech.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Target certain customers based on past territory performance, considering yearly sales quota.
- Identify potential new customers via cold calling, referrals, trade publications, industry trade shows, etc., and initiate contact with key decision makers to grow business outside of existing customer base and promote AC Controls across various industries. The objective is to schedule face-to-face meetings.
- Set appointments with potential customers within the ideal industry.
- Once connected with potential new customers, make introductions and establish onsite meetings to determine mutual benefits.
- Identify additional projects and upsells within existing client base.
- Identify and document cost savings associated with equipment conversions, product consolidation, and process efficiency gains, as recommended by the AC Controls account manager.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and manufacturers, including facilitating logistics for visits from out-of-town clients.
- Once relationships are established with large customers, identify additional internal opportunities. Cold call internally to solicit new business.
- Serve as the point person regarding contract pricing, terms, and conditions, coordinating with accounting and inside sales teams.
- Advocate for customers when requesting specific terms and conditions.
- Make product solution recommendations and identify areas for product improvements or add-ons.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships to enable further account penetration and sales expansion.
- Attend internal product training to diagnose issues and escalate when necessary.
- Conduct online research and network via trade organizations.
- Participate in manufacturer-specific and online training sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Well-organized and capable of working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a goal-oriented sales environment.
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience.
- Technical background in manufacturing, general maintenance, instrumentation, etc., is ideal.
