The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in technical sales, possessing a business background to drive customer engagement at the executive level, and a technical background to communicate product details effectively with technical contacts. This is an independent contributor role.
Expectations for Success
- Hunter Role - extensive experience in identifying, qualifying, and closing new customers
- Responsible for sales activities with new prospects
- Primary point of contact for onboarding new products and services
- Demonstrate product offerings and value propositions via web or in-person meetings
- Develop and grow relationships across customer’s business and technical organizations
- Educate and support clients to ensure optimal utilization of our products
- Provide sales support to a customer base of seasoned technical staff, engineers, marketing, legal, and procurement personnel
- Engage with Directors and Senior executives to support their business needs
- Partner with technical account management and sales teams to review account health and identify growth opportunities
- Advocate for customer requirements within Ookla, representing their voice internally
- Continuously expand your knowledge of new technologies to support customer growth
Requirements:

- Ability to travel domestically for client engagements
- Experience in the Telecommunications market (fixed and/or mobile networks, access)
- At least 5 years’ experience in Sales or Business Development
- Strong communication skills, effective across all levels and global markets
- Strategic account planning and execution
- Experience working with SFDC
- Responsible, able to manage time effectively, work independently
- Experience negotiating sales contracts with a consultative approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
