Job description

This postion reports to: Chief Growth Officer

Overview

meshIQ delivers middleware and agentic AI governance solutions to some of the world’s leading organizations. The company operates in a high-growth market segment and is hyper-focused on customer acquisition. It is looking to hire a Sales Account Executive, a role that will focus on customer acquisition to enable meshIQ’s ‘land and expand’ initiatives. This is a high-visibility and high-impact role that will play a key role in delivering revenue growth by driving customer acquisition through partners. The role requires a strong sales background and collaboration with Marketing, Business Development, Customer Success, Technology Services, and Marketing functions.

The Role:
Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Sales Account Executive will be responsible for expanding and driving relationships with existing customers, partners, and prospects to build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities. The Sales Account Executive will work with the CGO to continue executing the defined partner strategy and related initiatives.

As a Sales Account Executive, you will:

  • Enterprise consultative selling: Ability to uncover business problems – such as operational risk, outages, migration delays, compliance gaps, and high infrastructure costs – and connect them to measurable business outcomes.
  • Middleware and integration fluency: A working understanding of technologies such as IBM MQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ, TIBCO EMS, Solace, APIs, event streaming, hybrid cloud, legacy-to-cloud modernization and Agentic AI (Applied AI). You do not need to be an engineer, but you must learn to speak credibly with architects and infrastructure leaders. meshIQ’s platform spans multiple middleware technologies and environments.
  • Technical discovery and value articulation: Skill in translating technical capabilities – observability, automation, governance, auditability, self-service, and transactional integrity – into executive-level value, including lower risk, faster incident resolution, reduced costs, and accelerated modernization.
  • Executive and multi-stakeholder relationship building: Enterprise deals typically involve middleware administrators, platform engineering, enterprise architects, security, compliance, application owners, procurement, and C-level sponsors. The AE must build consensus across these groups and establish trusted-advisor relationships.
  • Complex opportunity and pipeline management: Strong qualification, forecasting, account planning, CRM discipline, next-step management, and ability to move opportunities through long enterprise sales cycles. meshIQ’s sales roles emphasize opportunity identification, qualification, progression, account planning, and CRM maintenance.
  • Partner, solution, and cross-functional collaboration: Ability to coordinate with systems integrators, resellers, sales engineers, marketing, professional services, and customer success. This is especially important for land-and-expand strategies and middleware modernization projects, where partners can influence both technical design and purchasing decisions.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional relationship-building and management skills to establish rapport, trust, and meshIQ brand preference with channel partners. Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to act autonomously, self-starter. Quick learner with high energy and creative problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to adapt to a changing environment. Energetic, enthusiastic, and organized.
Desired Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Problem-solving, Communication, Teamwork, Quick learning
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and partners you serve

Preferred:

  • Experience with managing and supporting IBM Business Partners
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM
  • Extensive sales experience with integration/middleware software
  • Extensive sales experience with observability/monitoring software
