Job description

AC Controls (a Kele Company)is in search of a Sales Account Executive. AC Controlshas been providing superior products and services since 1960 for process and combustion applications, offering systems integration services, combustion & process control systems, and distribution of industrial instrumentation, controls, and valves to the process and power industries in the southeast.

Summary

The Account Executive will be remote and spend nearly all their time on client sites. Working within an assigned geographical territory, Account Managers identify potential customers and maintain existing relationships. Overall, Account Managers facilitate the sales solution lifecycle, serving as a liaison between his or her territory and AC Controls / AC Technical Services, ultimately driving consistent sales growth within the territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Target certain customers based on past territory performance, considering yearly sales quota.
  • Identify potential new customers via cold calling, referrals, trade publications, industry trade shows, etc. and initiate contact with key decision makers in an effort to grow business outside of existing customer base and promote AC Controls across varying industries. Objective is to schedule a face-to-face meeting.
  • Set appointments with potential customers that fall within ideal industry.
  • Once connected with potential new customer, make introduction, and establish onsite meeting to determine whether customer / client relationship would be mutually beneficial.
  • Identify additional projects and/or upsells within existing client base.
  • Identify and document cost savings associated with, but not limited to, equipment conversions, product consolidation and process efficiency gains as recommended by the AC Controls account manager.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and manufacturers, including extracurricular entertainment and assisting with logistics for visits from out of town.
  • Once relationship is established with large customer, identify additional internal “shops”. Cold call internally to solicit new business.
  • Function as the point person with regards to contract pricing and terms and conditions. Coordinate with accounting and inside sales teams.
  • Advocate for customer when requesting specific terms and conditions.
  • Make product solution recommendations. Identify areas for product improvements, add-ons, etc.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships to allow for further account penetration and expansion of sales volume.
  • Attend AC Controls’ internal product training to ensure Account Manager is capable of diagnosing issues. Escalate product issues when necessary.
  • Conduct online research and network via trade organizations.
  • Attend internal product and process-based training.
  • Attend any manufacturer specific training and / or online training.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Well organized and able to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong professional communication skills, written and verbal, required for both internal and external interactions.
  • Ability to work in a sales driven, goal orientated capacity.
  • 3-5 years outside sales experience.
  • Technical background in manufacturing, general maintenance, instrumentation, etc. Ideal.
