Join us to build something extraordinary while leveraging your entrepreneurial spirit!
Role Overview
As a 1099 Accounts Development Contractor, you will operate as an autonomous business partner, generating qualified leads for consulting contracts in medical devices and life sciences. This role is ideal for seasoned sales professionals with a proven track record in B2B lead generation, offering flexibility to use your own methods while aligning with our high standards of integrity and client focus. You will leverage your industry network to identify opportunities for AccelerateRPM’s services, with optional use of our secure contractor tools to track leads and earn incentives.
Expected Revenue: Based on our sales forecast, successful contractors can target potential annual revenue of $150,000–$250,000, depending on lead generation performance and client conversions, with no cap on lead submissions for unlimited earning potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Independently identify and submit qualified leads for consulting services (e.g., project management, validation, agile methodologies), targeting decision-makers (VP or above) at companies with >$10M revenue in medical devices or life sciences.
- Strategic Outreach: Use your preferred methods (e.g., networking, calls, emails, events) to uncover consulting needs, with a suggested target of 5 qualified leads per month (no cap).
- Lead Submission: Optionally submit leads via our secure contractor portal within 24 hours, including contact name, company revenue, consulting need, intent/timeline, and industry, or provide updates to a W2 employee for entry.
- Compliance: Maintain autonomy per Master Service Agreement (MSA) and Statement of Work (SOW), ensuring compliance with federal and state laws (e.g., California’s AB5). Operate as a separate business (e.g., LLC) with your own tools and schedules.
- Invoicing: Submit monthly invoices via our contractor payment system, including SOW number, services, hours, and LLC details, for payment to your LLC.
Incentive Program
- Framework: Earn performance-based incentives through a multi-tiered structure designed to reward successful lead generation:
- Lead Conversion Bonus: A fixed payment for each qualified lead that results in a signed Statement of Work (SOW), incentivizing high-quality submissions.
- Resource Hour Payout: A per-hour payment based on the hours worked by resources deployed under the SOW, capped per lead, to reward sustained project engagements.
- High-Value Contract Bonus: An additional bonus for SOWs exceeding a specified revenue threshold, recognizing significant deals.
- Payment: Incentives are paid to your LLC via our secure payment system with net 10 terms from the date of client payment to AccelerateRPM. (Note: A 1099-NEC will be issued for total payments exceeding the IRS reporting threshold. Detailed incentive amounts will be shared during the interview process.)
- Tracking: Leads and payouts are tracked via our optional, but suggested, contractor tools and payment system, ensuring transparency and accurate compensation.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years in B2B lead generation or sales within medical devices, life sciences, or related consulting, with a proven track record of securing high-value contracts.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex sales lifecycles, aligning lead generation and deal closure with project lifecycle requirements (e.g., regulatory compliance phases, validation milestones).
- Experience engaging senior decision-makers (e.g., VP of Regulatory Affairs, CTO, CEO) to identify strategic needs and position consulting services effectively.
- History of collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., quality assurance, R&D, operations) to tailor solutions to client pain points, such as EU MDR compliance or digital transformation.
- Proven ability to map consulting services (e.g., project management frameworks, talent deployment, governance) to specific business or functional group needs, earning trust from senior leadership.
Skills:
- Advanced consultative selling skills, with the ability to articulate how services address regulatory, operational, or strategic challenges in medical devices and life sciences.
- Strong networking and communication skills to build relationships with C-level executives and functional leaders.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., agile, COE best practices) and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA, EU MDR) to credibly discuss client needs.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management, organizational skills, and a strategic mindset for long-term deal development.
- Comfort with lead tracking or payment tools (not required but a plus).
Business Requirements:
- Operate as a separate business entity (e.g., LLC) with a valid business license and separate bank account.
- Ability to handle own taxes and maintain compliance with IRS and state regulations.
Preferred:
- Established network of senior contacts in medical devices or life sciences industries, particularly in California.
- Experience selling project management, validation, or agile consulting services to regulated industries.
- Knowledge of industry-specific challenges, such as UDI labeling, quality assurance, or digital transformation tools.
Compliance and Autonomy
- Independent Status: As a 1099 contractor, you control your methods, schedules, and tools, distinct from W2 employees who receive benefits (e.g., 401(k), PTO). No employee benefits are provided.
- Legal Compliance: Adhere to IRS and state regulations (e.g., California’s AB5) to avoid misclassification. Maintain data security and confidentiality per MSA terms.
- Documentation: Sign MSA and SOW before starting, facilitated through the application process.
Why Join AccelerateRPM's Mission?
- Flexibility: Work autonomously, choosing your strategies and hours to fit your business.
- Lucrative Incentives: Earn significant payouts for converted leads, with no cap on lead submissions.
- Impact: Partner with a growing consultancy known for precision and innovation in medical devices and life sciences, with a strong presence in California and nationwide.
- Support: Access optional training, user guides, and administrative support for seamless collaboration.
