Job summary

Allentown School District is seeking a Salaried Substitute teacher for elementary grades 1–3 at Union Terrace Elementary. The position requires holding a valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate and clearances; the substitute will collaborate with staff, support the school program, and uphold district policies.

Primary duties include using varied instructional strategies, maintaining records, and communicating with families and administrators.

Qualifications

• Valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate.
• Criminal history and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI).
• Ability to perform essential duties and maintain required records.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Recognizes the basic structural framework for the development of instructional programs and works toward the achievement of the objectives.

• Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies to attain lesson objectives and provides students opportunities which extend beyond the classroom.
