Job summary

Compass Group USA's Restaurant Associates is seeking a full-time Cold Food (Salad) cook at Audible, 15 James Street, Newark, NJ 07102. This role focuses on preparing and plating salads, deli meats and cheeses for service. You will slice meats and cheeses on a slicer, maintain sanitation per HACCP standards, and assist with daily production.

Two years of culinary experience in a fine-dining setting is required. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Two years of culinary experience in a fine-dining establishment is required.
• Ability to operate a slicing machine safely and efficiently.
• Strong sanitation and food safety knowledge (HACCP).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves sandwiches, salads and other cold items.
• Slices meats, cheeses, and vegetables to standard portions.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of prep and serving areas.
• Assists with daily production schedules and inventory as directed.
• Ensures proper storage, dating and rotation of products.
