ShopRite is seeking a Salad Bar Clerk (LoCurcio NJ) to deliver a great customer experience while providing attentive, friendly service and answering customer questions. You will maintain department conditions and safe handling during the preparation of products in the Salad Bar.

The role requires English proficiency, basic math, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and allergens.
• Interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.

Responsabilités

• Maintain bar and display conditions by filling, cleaning, straightening, culling and rotating product.
• Greet Customers and provide samples as requested.
• Prepare product with proper washing, cutting, peeling and slicing procedures.
• Report equipment problems immediately.
• Ensure proper temperatures in display cases and storage areas.
• Follow procedures for receiving and storing product to protect quality.
• Handle damaged and unsaleable product according to policy.
• Maintain signage on items to alert customers to price, allergens and ingredients.
• Keep supply area organized (utensils, packaging, condiments).
• Follow QA hand washing standards and use gloves when handling food.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work environment.
• Know item locations and promotions to customers.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Lift and move merchandise as required (up to 50 lbs).
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise as required.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and equipment.
• Follow safety, policy and health regulations.
• Stand for long shifts and maintain punctual attendance.
• Overtime as needed.
