McKeever Price Chopper is seeking a friendly Salad Bar Clerk to join our team. You will prepare and maintain the salad bar and cold displays, ensuring fresh options and a clean presentation for customers.

You'll help with light prep, stock, and safety compliance while offering excellent service in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for reliable individuals who enjoy working with fresh ingredients and a team-driven kitchen.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Friendly, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Basic food prep and knife handling skills preferred.
• Willing to obtain a food handler permit (McKeever’s will assist)
• Ability to follow recipes, portion control, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh salad bar items including chopped vegetables, fruits, toppings, and pre-made salads.
• Stock, rotate, and organize cold display cases and salad bar items.
• Monitor product freshness and quality, removing any expired or spoiled items.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and appealing salad bar area.
• Label and date all prepared items according to company standards.
• Follow all food safety, handling, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist customers with questions or special requests.
• Support the deli/kitchen team with light prep and cleaning tasks as needed.

Position Overview:

As a Salad Bar Clerk, you’ll be responsible for preparing and maintaining the salad bar and cold food displays throughout the day. You’ll help ensure the area is clean, fully stocked, and attractive—offering fresh, delicious options for customers while following food safety and sanitation standards.
