Job summary

Dickinson College is seeking a Kitchen crew member in the Dining Services department to prepare salads, breakfast bars, and Grab & Go items, following standard recipes and par levels.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 1-3 years of relevant experience, plus a Culinary Arts certificate and Serv-Safe certification (or eligible). Will work day and evening shifts, about 40 hours weekly, on-site in Carlisle, PA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Vocational or technical certificate/degree in Culinary Arts.
• Serv-Safe certification or obtain certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Produces eye-appealing daily dining hall breakfast bar, salad bar, and Grab & Go items per standard recipes.
• Prepares specialty bar ingredients and topping or condiment bars for catered functions and dining hall events or themed meals.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary work place following ServSafe, HACCP, and OSHA guidelines.
• Coordinates delivery and assembly of items for function sheets, catered events, and retail locations.
• Assists in new product and recipe development.
