Job summary

Clarity Partners is hiring an Identity and Access Management (IAM) SailPoint Engineer in the Chicago area. The role focuses on SailPoint ISC design, customization, and integrations across AD, Entra ID, HRIS, and cloud platforms.

You will develop automation, maintain workflows, and collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, HRIS, and application teams to deliver scalable identity solutions. The position reports in a hybrid setting in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, CS, cybersecurity, information systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Identity Governance & Administration (IGA).
• Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and/or SailPoint IdentityIQ.
• Experience developing SailPoint rules using BeanShell/Java and creating custom workflows.
• Strong scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, BeanShell, or similar languages.
• Experience engineering integrations using SCIM, REST APIs, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.
• Experience with RBAC, ABAC, SoD, and enterprise identity architecture.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, LDAP, HRIS, and cloud identity platforms.
• Troubleshooting complex identity provisioning, aggregation, synchronization, and integration issues.
• Knowledge of identity federation, SSO, MFA, authentication architecture, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP cloud identity governance.
• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex tech to varied audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across cybersecurity, infrastructure, HRIS, applications, and business teams.
• SailPoint Engineer or Architect certification is a plus.
• Healthcare EMR integration experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting large-scale identity modernization initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain SailPoint ISC solutions, rules, workflows, and identity processing logic.
• Build and optimize provisioning/deprovisioning workflows and lifecycle event logic.
• Engineer and maintain custom connectors, integrations, and advanced SailPoint configurations.
• Lead onboarding and integration of applications into SailPoint with schema discovery and entitlement modeling.
• Design and support identity integrations using SCIM, REST, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.
• Engineer identity data flows between SailPoint, Active Directory, Entra ID, HRIS, and cloud platforms.
• Develop scripts for identity lifecycle operations and data management.
• Develop API-based automation to improve data exchange and workflows.
• Maintain version-controlled code repositories and secure SDLC practices.
• Support identity federation, SSO, MFA, and authentication architecture.
• Troubleshoot complex directory synchronization and provisioning issues.
• Serve as escalation point for SailPoint/identity issues and root-cause analysis.
