Job summary

Opterra Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Safety, Training, and Quality Specialist to lead safety programs across our operations. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, training delivery, and quality assurance to protect personnel and equipment.

The position requires DOT/FMCSA/OSHA knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to travel extensively to support field operations and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• DOT/FMCSA/OSHA regulations knowledge is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 90% by vehicle or air.

Responsibilities

• Inspect crews, vehicles, equipment, sites for compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, EPA, and state rules.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coach employees on corrective actions.
• Support job hazard analyses, tailgate meetings and site plans.
• Monitor driver qualifications, hours of service, and safe driving practices.
• Document findings and verify timely completion of actions.
• Deliver safety training and maintain training records and certifications.
• Coordinate refresher training after incidents or performance concerns.
• Inspect work for conformance to contracts, plans, and quality standards.
• Investigate incidents, record root causes, and track corrective actions.
