Job summary

Metro's Parks and Nature department seeks a Safety and Training Program Analyst to lead occupational health and safety initiatives for staff across the region. You will develop safety manuals, coordinate trainings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and related regulations while collaborating with the R3 team on incident reporting and investigations.

The role supports mental health, trauma-informed practices and racial equity, with hybrid telework and on-site duties four days a week at various

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or closely related field.
  • At least five years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in occupational health and safety.
  • Experience with OSHA regulations and safety program deliverables.
  • Familiarity with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and implement safety manuals, programs, policies, training and practices for Parks and Nature.
  • Ensure workplace compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
  • Coordinate OSHA Safety Committee compliance.
  • Identify and administer safety programs to support staff mental health and resilience.
  • Coordinate and track required trainings for Parks and Nature staff.
