Oregon Metro in the Portland region is seeking a Safety and Training Program Analyst to strengthen occupational health, safety and training for Parks and Nature staff. You will develop manuals, ensure OSHA compliance, and coordinate safety programs across the department.
The role includes planning safety drills, managing training schedules, liaising with the R3 team on investigations, and supporting emergency response with local public safety partners.

This position is designated as hybrid telework but requires onsite work at Parks and Nature facilities roughly four days per week. This includes a rotating presence at Blue Lake Regional Park (Fairview), Oxbow Regional Park (Gresham), Borland Field Station (Tualatin), Metro Regional Center (Portland) and/or various nature park locations across the Metro region. Up to one day per week is eligible for teleworking. Employees must reside in Oregon or Washington to work at Metro. Please note, the designation of hybrid telework may be subject to change at a future time.
You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills to qualify. However, keep in mind we may consider them when identifying the most qualified candidates. Your transferable skills are any skills you have gained through education, work experience, including the military, or life experience that are relevant for this position.

The full-salary range for this position is step 1: $98,743.96 to step 7: $132,325.45.However, unless a candidate’s qualifications justify, based on the Oregon Pay Equity Act requirementsand Metro’s internal equity review process, the appointment will likely be made between step 1: $98,743.96 to the equity range step 4: $114,307.87.
This position is not eligible for overtime and is non-represented. It is classified as a Program Analyst.
