Job summary

Transdev North America is seeking a Safety and Training Manager to lead safety and training initiatives in New York, NY. The role emphasizes driving instruction, classroom training, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting strong leadership and employee morale.

The position requires experience in passenger transportation safety and operations management, with DOT drug testing oversight and documentation of training activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the passenger transportation industry.
• California CDL Class B w/Passenger Endorsement.
• Experience in location safety management and/or operations management.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and compliance with 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Provides behind-the-wheel instruction according to corporate and client specifications.
• Conduct classroom training in accordance with corporate and location requirements.
• Ensures safety manuals, programs, policies, and procedures are current.
• Documents training activities and maintains training records.
• Establishes relationships with client and corporate personnel to identify training needs.
