Job summary

Safe Air Technology is seeking a hands-on Safety & Training Coordinator to support our Safety Manager. This role blends office tasks with on-site activity on the shop floor to develop safety programs and improve workplace safety.

You will create engaging training materials, conduct inspections, track training completion, and maintain safety records to ensure compliance as the company grows in Baton Rouge.

Qualifications

• Develop and format safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Create engaging presentations, handouts, quizzes, and training docs.
• Maintain safety records and documentation.
• Conduct routine safety inspections throughout the facility.
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate findings to the Safety Manager.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate employee safety orientations and ongoing training.
• Track training completion and maintain compliance records.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other admin documents.
• Maintain SDS books and safety bulletin boards.
• Track safety supplies and PPE inventory.
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support miscellaneous projects as assigned.

Safety & Training Coordinator

Safe Air Technology is seeking an organized, motivated, and hands-on Safety & Training Coordinator to support our Safety Manager. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent computer skills, and isn't afraid to spend time on the production floor identifying opportunities to improve workplace safety.

This is not a desk-only position. You'll split your time between the office and the manufacturing shop, helping develop safety programs while also serving as another set of eyes and ears throughout the facility.

What You'll Do

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous safety, training, HR, manufacturing, or administrative experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience creating training materials or conducting presentations is preferred
• Strong computer proficiency and document formatting skills

Physical Requirements

• Frequently walk throughout manufacturing and warehouse environments
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work in varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing facility
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
