Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Safety Trainer to conduct training programs for employees in the Whiting, IN area. The Trainer will operate as a non-exempt role reporting to the Site Manager and Department Manager, performing routine duties within established policies.

The position requires experience delivering training, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across teams while complying with safety requirements. A commitment to safety and reliable execution is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in training topics or subject delivery.
• At least 1 year of experience conducting training courses and presentations.
• Knowledge of business machines, computers and software applications.
• Familiar with Google Workspace, JD Edwards or similar software.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; able to multi-task.
• Analytical thinking, basic math and statistics; strong writing/research.
• Skilled in interpersonal relations and group dynamics.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and safety policy acknowledgement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training programs for employees at Turner Industries sites.
• Ensure trainings comply with site safety requirements and company policies.
• Coordinate with Site Manager/Department Manager on training needs.
