Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite Working at Heights focal point, providing expert oversight for elevated operations.
• Conduct fall risk assessments and implement controls to ensure worker safety at height.
• Audit and contribute to pre-planning of rescue plans for emergencies.
• Verify fall protection equipment is inspected and maintained.
• Evaluate secure anchor points prior to work activities.
• Provide continuous on-site supervision for elevated activities and safety protocol adherence.
• Ensure compliance with land or offshore site regulations and safety plans.
• Inspect work environments for hazards and conduct safety audits; report results to management.
• Monitor site work permit system and responsibilities; participate in incident investigations.

JOB SUMMARY: Promote, establish, communicate, and implement safety expectations and initiatives; monitor and stimulate execution with contractor's safety policy, rules, and procedures; and monitor conformance with project and site safety execution plans and implement improvements where appropriate.

• Serve as the onsite Working at Heights Focal Point, providing expert oversight for all elevated operations.
• Conduct comprehensive fall risk assessments and implement necessary engineering and administrative controls to ensure worker safety at height.
• Audit and contribute to the pre-planning of rescue plans to ensure preparedness for potential emergencies.
• Verify that all fall protection equipment is thoroughly inspected and maintained in good working condition.
• Evaluate and assist in the selection of secure anchor points prior to the commencement of work activities.
• Provide continuous on-site supervision for all elevated working activities to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.

Ensure land or offshore based worksites are in compliance with customer, state, and federal regulations. Conduct risk assessments and inspections and provide corrective/preventive measures.

Work with the company and contractor's site management team to implement the project and site safety programs.

Conduct regular safety inspections/assessments on-site locations in accordance with established project and site safety plans or as requested by site team members.

Inspect the work environment looking for work hazards and safety violations. Conduct safety audits. Report results to management as needed.

Monitor work processes to ensure compliance with the site work permit system and area/system responsibilities.

Participate in investigation and follow-up of incidents/accidents; prepare notifications/reports for communication of significant incidents to company project/functional management per project incident reporting procedures.

Advise site team (company, contractor, and subcontractors) of the company's safety requirements, regulations, expectations, and best practices.

In the case of an accident or injury, conduct a careful examination of the patient for signs and symptoms and administer prompt and efficient basic life support care within the limits of licensure or certification and in accordance with approved protocols and assist other medical personnel as necessary.

Examine credentials, licenses, or permits to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.

Responsible for facilitating JSAs, Hot Work Permits, Confined Space Entry Permits, Lockout/Tagout, etc.

Generate reports for management and customers as needed.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED.

Must be willing to work rotational assignments (i.e. 14x14 or 21x21 rotation)

Minimum of 2 years safety experience in the petrochemical industry.

Current and valid state driver’s license.

Must be knowledgeable of company protocols, operational procedures and safety policies.

Must be able to read, write and communicate professionally and effectively with employees and managers. Must possess the ability to compose simple correspondence or reports within Microsoft Office suite. Must possess the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and/or managers.
