Job summary

Interstates is seeking an entry-level Safety Technician to support our National Traveling Construction Team. You will help protect workers on sites nationwide while learning from experienced Safety Directors and Safety Managers.

You’ll engage in safety inspections, hazard identification, and incident investigations, traveling to diverse projects across the country as a foundation for a long-term career in construction safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years related safety/ Construction experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Safety Directors and Managers in promoting proactive safety culture on sites.
• Conduct job-site safety audits and help address hazards.
• Ensure safety equipment and supplies are available.
• Support weekly inspections, documentation, reporting.
• Assist with accident, injury, and near-miss investigations.
• Participate in root-cause analyses and preventive actions.
• Coordinate safety training and educational materials.
• Attend crew and team safety meetings.
