Job summary

Interstates is seeking a Safety Technician II to protect workers on construction sites nationwide. The role works with site leadership to identify hazards, enforce safety practices, and train team members in a field-based setting.

You will lead safety operations, conduct root-cause investigations, and support on-site audits and toolbox talks, with growth opportunities at a safety-forward electrical and OT solutions company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, Occupational Safety & Health, or related field.
• OSHA 510 certification or equivalent.
• Equivalent combination of education and field experience.
• Construction safety experience.
• NFPA/70E training
• 30-hour OSHA training
• Willingness to travel nationwide
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulations
• Ability to write reports and procedures
• Ability to calculate OSHA incident rates and percentages
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day safety operations on a construction site.
• Lead investigations of unsafe acts and accidents to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Monitor and promote on-site safety audits.
• Lead site safety meetings and trainings.
• Work with site management to ensure safety equipment and supplies are available.
