Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc. is seeking a Safety Technician to enforce and improve our safety and security programs at the Walnut Creek area site. You will work closely with leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous safety improvements.

You will design and deliver training, perform audits, investigate incidents, and maintain essential safety records while supporting OSHA reporting and company safety initiatives. This role emphasizes hands-on, practical risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Experience applying OSHA safety and security standards.
• Ability to develop and deliver safety trainings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety audits and inspections.
• Lead safety tours and facility assessments.
• Deliver hands-on LOTO training and safety education.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; document root causes.
• Maintain safety records, training documents, and logs (OSHA 300, 300A, 301).
• Develop and update safety procedures and related documentation.
