Job summary

Lewis Energy Group is seeking a Safety Technician II to join our field operations. You will inspect equipment, enforce safe practices, and help keep our people and sites compliant with safety regulations.

This role supports completions (Frac), leads safety meetings, conducts training, documents incidents and inspections, and maintains records. Ideal candidates have an associate degree, 5 years of safety experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and reasoning abilities.
  • Experience in supporting drilling or frac operations in the area of safety.
  • CSHO, ASP, CSP, OSHA-30, OSHA 500/501, 510/511 are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance safe practices in completions (Frac).
  • Respond to incidents and near misses, notify supervisors, document details, drive corrective action, and support required testing.
  • Lead weekly meetings, report project safety issues, conduct safety contacts, and coach field teams on risk reduction.
  • Deliver hands‑on safety training for individuals and groups.
  • Send daily written safety updates on incidents, inspections, corrective actions, and department concerns.
  • Perform daily inspections, document hazards, verify safe practices and compliance, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records demonstrating fulfillment of meeting, coaching session, incident reporting and inspection requirements for supervisor review.

As a Safety Technician II, you’ll be the front line of protection—inspecting equipment, ensuring quality work conditions, and creating safer workplaces that drive performance and protect our people. You'll play a vital role in reducing incidents, boosting productivity, and keeping our operations compliant with all applicable safety regulations.
