The BMC Berkeley Medical Center is seeking a Safety Technician to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff by inspecting and recording information on safety doors, lights, extinguishers, and barriers in accordance with NFPA, ANSI, and Joint Commission standards.
The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2 years in healthcare life safety, with preferred candidates holding a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience. 40-hour work week, day shift, non-exempt position.
Ensures the safety of patients, visitors, and employees by making sure that safety doors, lights, and fire extinguishers are inspected and up to code. All inspections will be in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and The Joint Commission standards.
