Where purpose comes to life, it changes lives. This is what we live for.

MAIN PURPOSE

Provide field-level support on the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, standards, and programs for the LiPF6 construction project. Monitor adherence of company personnel and construction contractors through routine field presence, inspections, observations, and direct interaction. Identify and document gaps, communicate required corrections, verify corrective action closure, and elevate significant or recurring issues to the HSE Manager. Coordinate with contractor HSE representatives to support effective safety meetings, Job Safety Analyses, permit-to-work activities, and safety observations at the construction site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor field implementation of Orbia and construction-site HSSE programs, including permit-to-work, JSA, LOTO, confined space, hot work, and lifting/rigging controls. Attend, observe, and lead daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings. Follow up on observations, near-miss reports, and corrective action closure.
  • Observe construction activities to identify hazards and verify that approved risk assessments, JSAs, and required controls are understood and applied in the field; report gaps and follow up on required improvements with the responsible contractor.
  • Conduct daily field inspections and work-area audits, document findings, communicate required corrections, and verify timely closure with contractor HSE representatives and field supervision.
  • Monitor field adherence to applicable OSHA, DOT, EPA, Louisiana, and other federal, state, and local HSE requirements. Document deficiencies, notify the responsible parties, and elevate significant or unresolved issues to HSE and project leadership.
  • Provide HSE support for heavy lifts, modular receipts and setting, hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, and other construction activities by verifying required plans, permits, controls, and pre-job checks before and during the work.
  • Maintain regular field contact with contractor HSE representatives and supervisors to review findings, clarify site requirements, track commitments, and support resolution of day-to-day HSE issues.
  • Support contractor mobilization and onboarding by verifying completion of required HSE documentation, orientation, qualifications, and site-entry requirements, and report gaps to the responsible project or HSE lead.
  • Support incident reporting and investigations by securing relevant field information, participating in fact finding, documenting assigned actions, and following up corrective and preventive action closure in accordance with site requirements.
  • Deliver and support approved HSE training and site orientation for contractor personnel, reinforce requirements during field interactions, and identify training or competency gaps for follow-up by contractor management and the HSE Manager.
  • Documentation and reporting: Collect and validate field observations, inspections and audit findings, contractor reports, and corrective action status; maintain accurate records and provide timely inputs for periodic site HSSE reports.
