Job summary

Epic Piping is seeking a Safety Technician to join our Fabrication team. You will uphold safety and environmental guidelines across projects on a national and global scale, with opportunities to grow from entry level to experienced professional.

Responsibilities include investigations, safety training, program coordination, inspections, and maintaining training records. We value proactive individuals who communicate well and are committed to protecting workers.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 1 year of experience
• OSHA training a plus
• English and Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Assist in accident investigations to identify causes and prevention.
• Recommend measures to protect workers from hazardous methods, processes, or materials.
• Inspect workplaces to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards and regulations.
• Assist in coordinating respiratory, hearing conservation, HazCom, and confined space programs.
• Conduct safety training and demonstrate use of safety equipment.
• Provide new employee safety orientations.
• Assist in coordinating right-to-know programs regarding hazardous chemicals.
• Participate in engaging response plans and procedures.
• Inspect areas for fire prevention equipment and safety supplies.
• Recommend suspending activities threatening worker safety.
• Conduct facility inspections and audits.
• Assist in regulatory training such as forklift, respiratory, and hearing conservation training.
• Maintain a training database.
• Provide first aid care when needed.
