Job summary

Epic Piping seeks a Safety Technician to join our Fabrication team in California. You’ll help implement and monitor safety programs, investigate incidents, and train employees on protective measures.

The role emphasizes compliance, hazard assessment, and supporting ongoing safety initiatives across projects with national and global scope. The ideal candidate brings 1+ year of safety experience, strong communication, and attention to detail, with OSHA training a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 1+ year(s) in safety-related role preferred.
• Certifications: OSHA training a plus.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Assist in investigating accidents to identify causes and prevention.
• Recommend measures to protect workers from hazardous methods and materials.
• Inspect workplaces to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate respiratory, hearing conservation, HazCom and confined space programs.
• Conduct safety training and provide new employee safety orientations.
• Assist in maintaining training databases and providing first aid when needed.
• Support regulatory training such as forklift and other safety programs.
