You will help maintain OSHA compliance, assess hazards, and coordinate emergency responses to protect personnel and facilities. The role requires an Associate's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience and EMT certification, with additional related manufacturing or military experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and monitors industrial safety programs in compliance with OSHA.
  • Evaluates equipment/materials for safety and monitors chemical exposure.
  • Performs surveys and inspections to ensure policy compliance and safety standards.
  • Tests safety equipment and responds to hazardous materials, radiation, or fire incidents.
  • Maintains storage areas and PPE; reports non-compliance and suggests corrective actions.
  • Supports emergency response in the event of incidents.

The Role

Implements and monitors industrial safety programs to ensure personnel and facility safety. Participates in monitoring and controlling the organization'ssafety standards in accordance with OSHA and State codes and regulations. Evaluates new equipment and materials for safety. Monitors employee exposureto chemicals and other toxic substances. Performs surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, regulations andstandards related to employee safety. Tests and services safety equipment and systems. Reports non-compliance or hazardous conditions found and suggests remedial action to be taken. May maintain storage areas, consumable supply inventories, and personnel protection equipment. Responds toemergency situations involving hazardous materials, radiation, or fire and smoke incidents in the facility.

Must Have

Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience

EMT Certification

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

  • High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
