Job summary

Bilfinger Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking a Safety Technician for our St. Louis, MO site to lead safety training and on-site programs. The role focuses on educating workers, conducting inspections, and supporting HS&E initiatives across projects.

The ideal candidate has OSHA 30 or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to guide field teams through safety procedures, risk assessments, and compliance activities in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years safety experience in industrial construction.
• Experience with excavation, lifting, rigging, crane operations, demolition, confined space.
• Experience with work permitting (height, crane lifts, confined space, excavation, lock out tag out).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to speak in front of large crowds.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety and health training.
• Requires the ability to walk extensively, climb stairs and ladders or scaffolds as required.

• Provide coaching and support to construction field operations
• Supervise and administer safety activities
• Participate in incident investigations identifying root causes and executing sustainable corrective actions.
• Review and provide input on construction work plans with project managers

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years with safety experience in an industrial construction setting or equivalent schooling.
• Experience in excavation, lifting and rigging, crane operations, demolition, lead and asbestos abatement, confined space, working at height, steel erection, scaffold and other construction processes
• Experience with work permitting process (working at height, crane lifts, confined space, excavation, and lock out tag out)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to speak in front of large crowds.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety and health training
• Requires the ability to walk extensively, climb stairs, and ladders or scaffolds throughout diverse work environments as required by business demands.
