Job summary

Borusan Berg Pipe in Panama City, FL is seeking a full-time Safety Technician to conduct inspections, audits, and safety training at our manufacturing facility.

You will monitor compliance with OSHA standards, report findings to the Safety Manager, and promote safe work practices. The role requires a high school diploma and experience in heavy manufacturing.

• Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety inspections and audits of facilities, work areas, and equipment.
• Reports results of safety inspections and audits to Safety Manager.
• Monitors work practices and procedures for compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
• Facilitates productive discussions among employees and management relative to safe workplace practices.
• Serves as a source of information on health and safety rules and regulations.
• Requests and collects employee feedback and suggestions on safety procedures.
• Distribute and post health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned incidental to health and safety activities.
• Rotating evening or weekend shift work may be required, based on operational need.
