Borusan Berg Pipe is one of the leading manufacturers of large-diameter steel line pipe in North America. We are a mid-sized manufacturer, with three U. S. locations specializing in pipe production for the oil and gas sector. We are seeking twoQuality Control Lab Techniciansfor our Panama City, Florida location.

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Panama City, Florida

Primary Duties:

• Selecting and conducting quality tests on manufactured steel pipe in accordance with the current edition of API 5L, API 1104, API Q1, ASMG, NACE, ASTM, CSA, AWWA and additional customer specifications.
• Receiving, preparing, and machining test coupons utilizing a variety of machines including, but not limited to robotic plasma cutters, band saws, CNC milling machines, and belt sanders.
• Performing quality tests including, but not limited to bend tests, etching tests, hardness tests, drop weight tear tests, charpy tests and tensile tests.
• Recording data in the manufacturing execution system and ensuring test samples adhere to specification requirements.
• Coordinating test results with outside inspectors and/or customer representatives, as applicable.
• Performing area housekeeping tasks and other miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.

Compensation:

• $25.79 hourly, up to $28.14 hourly once fully trained
• Weekly and quarterly incentive bonuses
• Shift differential for evening and overnight shift work
• Premium pay for time worked on Sundays and holidays

Education & Work Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Ability to obtain a passing score on an intermediate level math assessment. (Required)
• Ability to successfully complete all Lab Technician training and tests. (Required)
• Prior experience in operating large transposition equipment (Preferred)
• Experience in heavy, industrial manufacturing (Preferred)
• CNC Experience (Preferred)
