Job summary

Jobtailor in Houston, TX is seeking an EHS Specialist to support our safety and compliance program across warehousing operations. You will review policies, conduct on-site audits, and help implement initiatives to meet state and federal regulations.

You will lead safety meetings, coordinate trainings, and develop action plans while maintaining documentation and ensuring GXO and regulatory standards are met.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with computerized scanner equipment.
• Availability for a flexible schedule including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends.
• CPR/AED/BBP background or current certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent related work or military experience preferred.
• Solid time and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads.
• Experience with EHS in a warehousing/distribution environment.
• Understanding of industry-related state and federal rules and regulations.
• May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer.
• Must comply with GXO policies regarding COVID safety and applicable CDC, OSHA, state and local requirements.
