Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Safety Supervisor to monitor site safety programs and maintain records to ensure workers comply with the Safety Management System, including accident prevention and violation mitigation. This role develops preventive programs and reviews technical reports, reports to the Safety Manager.

The position emphasizes safety inspections, training, and regulatory compliance with federal OSHA standards, offering data-driven insights to leadership and workforce.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in safety or related engineering discipline required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of safety experience required.
• Familiarity with state or local environmental laws.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety trainings in areas such as ergonomics, emergency response, lockout/tagout, hazard communications.
• Identify hazards and propose safe work practices to leadership teams.
• Provide hazard identification and risk mitigation expertise.
• Ensure compliance with city, state and federal regulations.
• Perform on-site safety inspections and coordinate controls from hazard analyses.
• Measure the effectiveness of hazard control systems and recommend changes.
• Assist in new employee safety and environmental orientation.
