HazTek Safety Management is seeking a Construction Safety Specialist to support a pharmaceutical construction project in Rahway, NJ. This role provides daily safety oversight across all trades and partners with contractors and project leadership to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include overseeing OSHA compliance, startup safety, HEC/LOTO, crane and rigging review, site inspections, and safety meetings.

Qualifications

• Construction safety experience overseeing multiple trades.
• Startup activities, HEC, and LOTO experience.
• Crane and rigging safety and lift plan review experience.
• OSHA 510 required.
• OSHA 30 completed within the past five years required.
• Current First Aid certification required.
• Strong communication and contractor coordination skills.
• Availability to support weekend work as needed.

HazTek is seeking a Construction Safety Specialist to support a pharmaceutical construction project in Rahway, NJ. This role will provide daily safety oversight across all trades and work closely with contractors and project leadership to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities for compliance with OSHA regulations and site safety requirements
• Provide safety support for startup activities, hazardous energy control (HEC), and lockout/tagout (LOTO)
• Monitor crane and rigging operations and review lift plans for safe execution
• Conduct site inspections, review JSAs and work permits, and follow up on corrective actions
• Facilitate safety meetings and coordinate with project teams to identify and address hazards

Qualifications

• Construction safety experience overseeing multiple trades
• Strong hands-on experience with startup activities, HEC, and LOTO
• Experience with crane and rigging safety and lift plan reviews
• Pharmaceutical or industrial construction experience preferred
• OSHA 510 required
• OSHA 30 completed within the past five years required
• Current First Aid certification required
• Strong communication and contractor coordination skills
• Availability to support weekend work as needed
