Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers, LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee and enforce safety measures on active construction projects. You will inspect work areas, materials, and procedures to ensure OSHA compliance, and collaborate with leaders to implement improvements.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, an associate degree in health and safety or related field, OSHA 500/CSHO/CHST, and at least one year of safety experience. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
• Certifications such as OSHA 500, CSHO, CHST, STS-C.
• At least 1 year of health and safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on OSHA regulations and apply expertise on job sites.
• Identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Support safe work processes and audits.
• Enforce safety policies at job sites.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain safety records.
• Lead on-site safety meetings and trainings.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement corrective actions.
