The role focuses on reducing injuries, ensuring safety performance, and promoting a culture of safety excellence, with open collaboration across departments and shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology or related field or equivalent experience.
• 0–4 years of safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and injury prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead department and support Plant themes and complex improvement projects.
• Proactively cycle PDCA to reduce injuries and hazards and improve safety characteristics.
• Support department leaders and safety committees to achieve a strong safety culture.
• Interpret and apply Honda Safety Management manual and policies.
• Document complex safety activities including risk assessments and ergonomic studies.
• Present and report on safety activities and results with data analysis.
• Develop technical expertise and professional skills.
