Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. seeks a Safety Specialist to apply scientific and practical knowledge to design and improve safety systems in manufacturing. You’ll align with daily operations, new model introductions, and innovation initiatives to meet safety targets and promote excellence.

Minimum education includes a bachelor’s degree in engineering or safety-related field with 0–4 years of safety experience. Strong communication and office software skills are required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or related field.
• Knowledge of major health and safety regulations and injury prevention.
• Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead department safety initiatives and complex improvement projects.
• Cycle PDCA to reduce injuries and hazards in assigned areas.
• Interpret Honda safety policies and assist with PDCA of procedures.
• Perform risk assessments, ergonomic studies and safety documentation.
• Present safety activities and data analysis to leadership.
