Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist I–III to own safety programs, assess workplace conditions, and coach teams toward zero-hault incidents. Responsibilities include field inspections, stakeholder collaboration, training delivery, and incident investigations to determine root causes and prevent repeat findings.

The role requires knowledge of safety regulations, strong communication, and the ability to work irregular hours and travel up to 25% within Mississippi sites.

Competenze

• Working knowledge of construction and general industry safety regulations.
• Ability to observe and engage with employees and contract partners.
• Investigation/RCA with tools such as TapRoot, Cause Mapping, Fishbone, Five whys, etc.
• Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends.
• Ability to interact with customers and members of the public in a pleasant and tactful manner.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of safety programs.
• Conduct training to ensure rules, procedures, and expectations are understood.
• Provide immediate coaching on safe and unsafe conditions observed.
• Conduct field/site inspections, document deficiencies, and develop sustainable solutions.
• Participate in incident investigations including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Reinforce safe work expectations per laws, rules, procedures.
• Review safety data and metrics to identify trends and recommend actions.
• Stop work if there is any unsafe condition.
