Job summary

TG Gallagher is seeking a Safety Specialist to support health and safety across New England projects. The role focuses on upholding the Safety Plan, conducting site visits, and developing safety documentation under the Safety Director’s guidance.

The ideal candidate will have OSHA 10, experience with OSHA regulations, and strong communication skills, with a willingness to engage with project teams and clients to promote a safety culture.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 hour safety certificate in construction required.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations for construction sites.
• Proficient with MS Office, SharePoint and iAuditor.
• Strong decision making and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to jobsites in greater Boston area.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular site visits to ensure compliance with the Safety Plan.
• Assist in developing safety documents for field operations.
• Develop and review the Accident Prevention Plan and JHA; provide onsite safety training.
• Collaborate with project management, quality control, and subcontractors on safety inspections and corrections.
• Assist with investigation and recording of accidents and workers' comp claims.
• Maintain OSHA-required records and research safety needs and expectations.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
