Job summary

ALO is seeking a Warehouse Safety Supervisor in Southaven, MS, to oversee safety and health programs across the warehouse. You will ensure OSHA compliance, lead audits, and coordinate incident investigations to reduce risk while supporting operations.

You will train staff, conduct safety meetings, and drive continuous improvements in safety culture and practices throughout the warehouse. AFOOTwear-related PPE and equipment safety are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and emergency response planning.
• First Aid/CPR certification and OSHA 30-hour training preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily/weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns
• Partner with operations leadership to ensure safe work practices and accountability at all levels
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment (forklifts, conveyors, etc.)
• Manage workers' compensation cases and coordinate return-to-work programs
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety culture and performance improvements to warehouse layout, processes, or equipment to reduce risk and enhance security.
