Job summary

ALO Memphis is seeking an Operations Safety and Security Supervisor, DC, to oversee safety, health, and security within the warehouse. You will develop and enforce OSHA-compliant programs, conduct audits and investigations, and train staff to maintain a safe workplace.

Collaborating with HR, operations, and facilities, you will monitor security systems, manage incident responses, and drive improvements to reduce risk across the facility for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of warehouse experience, including supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and emergency planning.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, access control, and surveillance equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; document findings and ensure timely resolution.
  • Facilitate safety training sessions and toolbox talks for warehouse staff on PPE, forklift safety, emergencies, and ergonomics.
  • Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training in accordance with policy and legal requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety through regular communication, coaching, and reinforcement of safe work behaviors.
  • Supervise and maintain physical security systems including surveillance cameras, access controls, and alarm systems.
  • Monitor entry and exit procedures for employees, visitors, and vendors to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Investigate security breaches, inventory shrinkage, theft, or unauthorized access incidents.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or emergencies.
  • Train staff on security awareness, theft prevention, and emergency response procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of safety/security team members or contractors.
  • Work closely with HR, operations, and facilities teams to support business goals and employee well-being.
  • Recommend improvements to warehouse layout, processes, or equipment to reduce risk and enhance security.
