Heritage Behavioral Health Center in Decatur, IL seeks a Safety Specialist to maintain a secure environment for staff, clients, and visitors. You will serve as the first responder to internal emergencies and coordinate with emergency personnel to uphold safety standards.

This full-time, first-shift role offers competitive pay ($18–$24/hr), every other Friday off as a wellness day, and generous benefits, including health/dental/vision insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security and/or safety experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance required.

Responsabilités

• Conduct rounds to secure interior spaces of buildings
• Monitor sensitive areas during high-traffic times
• Enforce designated smoking areas on building exteriors
• Assist emergency personnel as needed
• Respond promptly to internal emergency codes
• Continuously monitor all floors for safety or security concerns
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with fellow safety team members and Heritage staff

Overview

Heritage Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist with prior experience in security or safety roles. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our Decatur facilities.
