Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Safety Specialist to drive field safety on West Coast industrial construction projects. You will perform jobsite inspections, lead training, and coordinate safety plans with crews across the Western United States.

The role requires OSHA 30, a related bachelor’s degree, ability to travel 50%, and strong documentation skills in MS Office. You’ll investigate incidents, maintain records, and promote a proactive safety culture with project teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
  • Experience in construction health and safety in heavy industrial or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 standards and construction safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting onsite safety inspections and maintaining compliance records.
  • Current OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications.
  • Intermediate MS Office for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% and work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to construction sites throughout the Western United States to conduct safety inspections, audits, and identify corrective actions
  • Partner with project teams to develop and implement site-specific safety plans, Job Safety Analyses, and compliance initiatives
  • Deliver safety training, new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and onsite coaching to promote safe work practices
  • Maintain safety documentation including inspections, training records, incident reports, and regulatory compliance records
  • Support accident investigations, workers' compensation coordination, return-to-work programs, and regulatory inspections
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and project teams during pre-construction and active projects to ensure safety requirements are met
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by building trust with field personnel and continuously improving safety performance

Salary: $90,000-$110,000 / DOE + Bonus

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience of construction health and safety with heavy industrial, hydropower, manufacturing, or similar environments
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 standards, construction safety regulations, confined space practices, and scaffolding safety
  • Experience performing onsite safety inspections and supporting safety compliance on active construction projects
  • Current OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with the ability to manage documentation and reporting
  • Ability to travel at least 50% and work extended hours or weekends when project demands require
