Job description

Position Summary

Indorama Ventures reimagines chemistry every day to build a better world. We are looking for innovative, collaborative professionals to plan, organize and coordinate activities for facility health and safety and other H&S department needs, including emergency response and safety. Activities involve developing and updating procedures and working with outside agencies.

Responsibilities and Duties

The role requires regular presence in the workplace and the ability to work extra hours if needed. You will work collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds, assist employees in achieving company goals, follow instructions and perform other duties as assigned, and participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives. Additional responsibilities include supporting the development, implementation, and assessment of safety systems, providing guidance on health and safety issues, and interacting with production, maintenance and engineering departments to facilitate regulatory compliance. You will develop strong knowledge of safety regulations, conduct site audits, lead safety teams, deliver safety‑related training programs, and support employee involvement in safety initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or ten plus years of relevant site process experience
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) desired
  • Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programs
  • Formal root cause analysis and incident investigation skills
  • Program review and auditing experience
  • Technical writing and reporting capability
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state safety and health regulations including OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and NIOSH
  • Experience with H&S technical and/or procedure writing
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of business unit employees, including senior management
  • Competency in training, facilitating, and presenting to multi‑disciplinary groups
  • Strong desire for experience with fire prevention and protection systems
